I remember that in high school I would usually be stewing in my feelings at the back of the classroom. To me, almost everyone was a horrible monster and most seemed stupid as hell to boot. I , of course, thought at the time that it was probably me being an emotional drama queen. I was sure all the nerd characters in those 80’s teen movies hated their “well adjusted” peers also. Well adjusted to what ? Well adjusted to bullshit is what. Gross.
But now as an adult, social media has finally proved younger Rob was right all along. Example:
It was probably foolish to think things would be better in a world outside of high school when all the same dumb asses would also be graduating with me at the same time, and worse - would also the ones running things as well. Those with the disposition would legally have access to guns, the chuckleheads in science class would be airline pilots or doctors, and those douche-bag , sweater wearing rich kids who lived across the lake and had the nerve to eat apples in public would probably be CEOs or worse politicians.
